It is most common in turnkey and partial-turnkey PCBA. Standalone sourcing for kit delivery can be discussed for established programs—share your workflow in the RFQ.
How do you handle part alternates?
We propose alternates during the BOM scrub with package and fit checks. Approve substitution rules upfront—especially for passives—so procurement can move without stalling the line.
Can we consign some parts while you source the rest?
Yes. Partial turnkey is designed for that split. Mark consigned lines clearly in the BOM and note any date-code or MSL constraints.
Do you source parts for prototype quantities?
Yes. Prototype sourcing emphasizes availability and correct packages over minimum order optimization; lead times are flagged honestly in the quote.
